Handala (Hanzala) Necklace
New
Handala.
About the boy in the necklace:
His name is Handala, the comic creation of Palestinian political cartoonist Naji al-Ali. Handala was brought to life as a 10-year-old refugee boy. That was the age Al-Ali and his family were forced to leave their home in 1948, when the State of Israel was illegally formed.
With his back turned and his hands clasped behind him, Handala represents the unwavering spirit of those who have been displaced from their homes and the ongoing struggle for justice and dignity.
By wearing The Handala Necklace, you show your solidarity with those opressed and raise awareness. Wear it with resilience and let it spark meaningful conversations about the experiences of refugees and the importance of standing with them in their pursuit of justice and liberation.
Made with love and care, this necklace is built to last. To maintain its shine, we recommend avoiding harsh chemicals and storing it in a dry place.
